Not so great, again too much personal stuff, but most not even in detail or resolved.
Main story was ok, but the female heroine and then also her rookie sidekick where too often going stubbornly alone, and ending in dangerous near death situations, although told by the obvious love interests not to go alone. Again persons who make the same mistake more than once, something I cannot stand in a supposedly able and intelligent (really???) person, there are books l DNFed for this ( Pines comes to mind, also totally dumb FBI agent and a rather bad book made into an equally bad TV series).
So, standard straight story, could have been more interesting.
The forensic side was well done and realistic, with quite a few experts working together, also a profiler.
Could have been more, and from what I skimmed from reviews of he other books, this was even more detailed in this book, than in the others.
A few straight sex scenes where not very interesting, so did not save this.
Can be read as a standalone.
Fast beach read, but from me only 3 stars and not recommended.
