Review: Insidious Intent

Insidious Intent Insidious Intent by Val McDermid
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow!
After again some wrong choices in books, I tend to fall back to my favourite authors, and this one is one of the best. Strong writing, good personal stuff integrated with the case, technology (internet, social media, online bullying etc.) up-to-date and correct, entirely beviebeable.
Read this series from the beginning, in between watching the TV-Series a second time, shame it was so short-lived - bought "Traces" on iTunes without realizing until seeing it, that it was also a Val McDermid production (and with Laura Fraser), recommend it highly and hope for more Seasons.

This can be read as a standalone, but you will miss out on some very good writing.
Not a lot of twists, until near the end, but the hunt for the killer is suspenseful enough to be a page-turner (at least for me).
Not sure, wether the entire series had any bad or lesser books, might warrant a re-read...
But this is surely one of the best, highly recommended and 5stars. Will read the next book in the series now.
